# Remount > Remount builds the ownership layer for autonomous vehicle fleets. Each owner holds a standalone Texas LLC that owns the vehicle; Remount arranges the financing, arranges depot services (charging, cleaning, tires, maintenance, parking) through partners rather than owning depots, and handles the administration, so individual owners can put robotaxis such as the Tesla Cybercab to work on the operator's network as Tesla opens cities. Founded April 2026 by Jonas Lamis. Based in Palo Alto and Austin. Remount is an independent company with no affiliation with Tesla. Tesla has not opened Cybercab ordering to anyone and has published no price or owner terms; Remount registers interest ahead of that and collects nothing today. Not an offer of securities. Any offering is made only to accredited investors through definitive documents under Rule 506(c). ## What Remount does - Standalone LLC per owner, formed for the vehicle cell, managed by Remount under a management agreement; the LLC holds title. - Remount arranges per-vehicle financing, arranges depot services in each city as Tesla opens it, and reports to owners. - The Cybercab economic modeler in the dataroom lets a prospective owner run their own conservative, base and strong cases. ## Remount for Tesla and fleet partners - Page: https://remount.co/partners - Entity: Remount Corporation, a Delaware corporation. - What it is: pre-launch fleet management company for Tesla robotaxis, registrations open; would be one fleet-facing partner for Tesla; owners' cars would sit in their own LLCs or in Remount Robotaxi Series 1, a pooled SPV. - Founder and contact: Jonas Lamis, jonas@remount.co. - Tesla fleet interest form: filed September 3, 2026. Interest type: Cybercab fleet vehicle purchasing. - Registered prospective owners: more than 420 as of October 24, 2026. We filed on September 3 with nearly 300 prospective owners, most wanting 1 to 5 cars. - Cities: Remount would support each city as Tesla opens it. Most registrants named no city. - Services: fleet purchasing, per-vehicle financing, commercial insurance program, depot operations through local partners, registration and titling, compliance, owner reporting. - Referral URL for small owners: remount.co/tesla. ## Cybercab Alerts - [Cybercab Alerts](https://remount.co/notify): free email alerts the moment Tesla opens Cybercab ordering, alerts when something big breaks before then, and a short weekly brief. Remount watches Tesla's official channels around the clock. ## Pages - [Home](https://remount.co): Remount, capital formation for the autonomous economy. - [About](https://remount.co/about): why Remount exists and who built it. - [Fleet partners](https://remount.co/partners): one fleet-facing partner for Tesla, more than 420 prospective owners behind it. - [Owner FAQ](https://remount.co/faq): 19 questions prospective owners ask, updated 2026-10-24. Tesla's support page answers "Can I purchase a Cybercab vehicle?" by directing anyone interested in buying a fleet or an individual vehicle for commercial purposes to the interest form. There is no order page: tesla.com/cybercab/order does not exist (HTTP 404). No price, delivery window or owner terms have been published. - As of Sep 4, 2026: Private owner program: not open. Tesla has not published terms for individuals to own a Cybercab or to place one on its network. Tesla executives have described owner participation as a future feature; nothing has been published. ## Remount Roundup essays - [Tesla just added fuel to ARK's 8 million robotaxi forecast](https://remount.co/roundup/tesla-just-added-fuel-to-arks-8-million) (2026-10-23): ARK's new model puts about 8.1 million robotaxis on Tesla's network by 2031. On Wednesday's call, Tesla put target dates on the first steps. Here's how I read it. - [Waymo just borrowed $5 billion](https://remount.co/roundup/waymo-just-borrowed-5-billion) (2026-10-16): Waymo took on its first debt last week, from PIMCO, Blackstone and eleven others. Lenders underwrite cash flow, not stories. That changes who can own a robotaxi fleet. - [In 2016, I predicted The Uberpod. I think Tesla is going to build it.](https://remount.co/roundup/in-2016-i-predicted-the-uberpod-i) (2026-10-09): In 2016 I wrote a series of predictions for the decade ahead. Most of it showed up early. What I missed was who owns the machines. - [The customer owns the truck](https://remount.co/roundup/the-customer-owns-the-truck) (2026-10-02): Trucking just split the driver from the vehicle. Aurora licenses the driver, its customer owns the trucks, and a leasing arm is ordering 2,500 electric trucks, mostly Tesla Semis. Cars come next. - [How much does it cost to build and operate a depot?](https://remount.co/roundup/how-much-does-it-cost-to-build-and) (2026-09-25): What we know, what we think, and what we still have to learn about the cost of a robotaxi depot: building one, running one, and keeping a car in one. - [Ten thousand cars, a million rides a week](https://remount.co/roundup/ten-thousand-cars-a-million-rides) (2026-09-18): Who runs a robotaxi, where, and how many. Roughly nine thousand cars and about a million paid rides a week, most of them in fourteen US metros and four Chinese cities. - [Who should own the first 50,000 Cybercabs?](https://remount.co/roundup/who-should-own-the-first-50000-cybercabs) (2026-09-11): Tesla opened a form for fleet buyers. We filed it for nearly 300 prospective owners. The case for why Tesla should want that, with the numbers. - [8.64 seconds](https://remount.co/roundup/864-seconds) (2026-08-28): Beijing's robot games just rewrote the record books, a $12,000 humanoid went on sale in Los Angeles, and the machines learned to earn before they learned to work. - [Five Golden Tickets](https://remount.co/roundup/five-golden-tickets) (2026-08-21): Tesla is throwing the Cybercab a launch party in Austin and raffling five invitations. What it is not announcing is a way to buy one, and that gap is where the next twelve months get interesting. - [8,000 to One](https://remount.co/roundup/8000-to-one) (2026-08-14): China measured the demand to own robots this week: eight thousand orders for every available share. America spent the same week deciding who gets permission to operate them, and what that permission costs. - [The Parking Lots Got Priced](https://remount.co/roundup/the-parking-lots-got-priced) (2026-08-07): This week a sovereign wealth fund priced the parking lots at $2.1 billion. The capital seat, who actually holds title to the cars, is still open. - [My Robo-Delivery Ride-Along](https://remount.co/roundup/my-robo-delivery-ride-along) (2026-07-31): I spent Wednesday in the back seat of a robot delivering dinner by itself in Austin. The same day, regulators told Amazon it may build 2,500 robotaxis. Those two facts belong together. - [The March of Nines](https://remount.co/roundup/the-march-of-nines) (2026-07-24): I learned product quality at Motorola, where Six Sigma was gospel. Elon just reached for the same ladder and called it the march of nines. Here is where the robotaxi becomes real. - [The Unglamorous Half](https://remount.co/roundup/the-unglamorous-half) (2026-07-17): A robotaxi fleet got towed out of a traffic jam with dead batteries, and our partner's CEO named the missing layer on the record. The interesting part of autonomy isn't the driving anymore. It's the ground underneath it. - [From If to Who](https://remount.co/roundup/from-if-to-who) (2026-07-10): The robotaxi stopped being a question of whether it works. This week it became a question of who owns the thing that works. - [The Ownership Gap](https://remount.co/roundup/the-ownership-gap) (2026-07-03): This week the money world published its map of the robot economy. Billions for the machines' weapons, brains, and fleets. Every layer is getting funded except one. The layer where you own them. - [It's a Matter of Timing](https://remount.co/roundup/its-a-matter-of-timing) (2026-06-26): This week the government started rewriting a fifty-year-old rulebook to make room for cars that were never built for a driver. Nobody does that for something far away. - [The Onramps](https://remount.co/roundup/the-onramps) (2026-06-19): The Cybercab fleet is about to start earning real money. The conversation skips the part that matters most: who gets to own it. There's more than one way in. - [The boring part nobody's pricing](https://remount.co/roundup/the-boring-part-nobodys-pricing) (2026-06-12): Everyone argues about whose robot drives better. The economics get decided by who keeps the robot working. - [Wall Street just repriced the robot](https://remount.co/roundup/wall-street-just-repriced-the-robot) (2026-06-05): A thought experiment - JPMorgan just tripled its Tesla target on the promise of machines that earn money on their own. The question nobody's asking: who actually gets to own that income? - [Trading the driver's seat for the owner's seat](https://remount.co/roundup/trading-the-drivers-seat-for-the-owners-seat) (2026-05-29): A thought experiment — what would it actually take for a rideshare driver to own the robotaxis instead of drive them? Just the math. - [Why I'm Building Remount](https://remount.co/roundup/why-im-building-remount) (2026-05-22): The video is the origin story. Here's what's happened in the two weeks since - plus the week in autonomy. ## Contact - Email: hello@remount.co - Founder: Jonas Lamis, https://x.com/jonaslamis - Substack: https://remountco.substack.com
